Take a moment and think

My confession:
I am a Jew, and every single one of my ancestors was Jewish. And it does not bother me even a little bit when people call those beautiful lit up, bejeweled trees, Christmas trees.. I don't feel threatened. I don't feel discriminated against. That's what they are: Christmas trees

It doesn't bother me a bit when people say, 'Merry Christmas' to me. I don't think they are slighting me or getting ready to put me in a ghetto. In fact, I kind of like it It shows that we are all brother… Continue

I know the election is over and you all are a little burnt out, but this is just as important a time to keep discussion alive. The country is still operating and there are plenty of things going on that need to be talked about. I will just through out a few ideas to help you all get started. ECONOMY, BAILOUT, TRANSITION OF POWER, POSSIBLE PARDONS, SMOKING BANS, SECRET BALLOTS FOR UNION MEMBERS, I could go on and on but I think you get the idea. Lets talk. Continue

The scope of what Obama does not know is astounding. He knows nothing about Bill Ayers, he knows nothing about Bernadine Dohrn, he knows nothing about reverend Wright. He actually said that he believed that Ayers was rehabilitated and had changed. I guess he changed since 2000 when he stated that he regretted nothing he had done in the past and the only regret he had was that he had not done more. Needless to say, if Obama truly doesn't know anything about these people then he is completely out… Continue

A letter to Representative Todd Aiken

I wanted to let you know that I appreciate the fact that you actually represent your constituents. The NO vote on the bail out was the only responsible course of action. The crisis took a long time to come about and a fix for it does not need to be rushed in to. I believe that there are many other and better ways to repair the damage that has been done and all of them start with PERSONAL RESPONSIBILITY. If we want to blame this crisis on the sub prime market than we are all being fooled. Anybody… Continue

I have just finished reading "Fleeced" by Dick Morris. Within it's pages is a revelation of many wrong decisions and actions of both Democratic and Republican parties. I would recommend it to anyone interested in what has taken place in Washington D. C. It is available at the puplic library. and most Costco stores.

Hooray, for Mike Huckabee's new show on Sunday night; Fox News Channel at 5:00 p.m. and 8:00 p.m. Pacific Coast time. The two shows so far have been outstanding. It has the very great possibility of being the best hosted talk show on TV.

Do you think that this Bail out will hurt us middle class people or help us? I am not to sure weather or not this people or companies deserved to be bailed out of something they got them selves into. When we mess up or need to be bailed out the Government is the last ones to help us, at least us, by that I mean us hard working people who are trying to do everything we can to better are selves and its our tax money paying the living of the people who don't bust their to do better! Tell me what you think

Banks collapsing, insurance companies faltering, an economy on the brink. This is what we are supposed to believe. The media wants us to believe that it was eight years of failed policy that caused this. Is it true, are we expected to ignore history. What is the real cause? Is it an overwhelming greed, is it the fact that people in our government no longer represent us, is it the fallout from a social experiment gone wrong. We have more than the last eight years to blame for the situation we are currently facing. This is the culmination of all of these things over the past 40 years. We have allowed our country to move so close to becoming a socialist country that we have forgotten what a representative republic is supposed to be. We have allowed our government to become so large that its tentacles reach into every crack in what used to be private citizenry. If we continue to allow the federal government to have its hands in every cookie jar, our economy will fail. The federal government is an entity that can only survive on the backs of taxpayers. Although it was never intended to be a profit center, the federal government has morphed into something that must continue to grow or it will die. How does it grow? Tax dollars!!! Can we change it, I hope so. Government is supposed to work for the people. Maintain infrastructure and provide defense. When did it become necessary for the government to be the full time baby sitter that it has become. What can we do? It all starts with your voice. We do not need to believe the same things, our founding father by no means did. But they did have one commonality, they believed in freedom and the opportunity to prosper. They made their voices heard. Now, let us all do the same.
